What's new

What changed in Monexa Hub: new features, improvements and fixes.

New: public portfolio — show your portfolio with a link

You can now share a portfolio with anyone through a read-only link. Whoever opens it sees your holdings, without seeing your name or changing anything. And you decide what shows and whether amounts stay hidden.

  • NewIn Settings, the "Public portfolio" card makes the active portfolio public and creates the link, with buttons to copy and open it. Every portfolio stays private until you turn it on.
  • NewWhoever opens the link sees the Portfolio just like you do, without the buttons: summary, growth, allocation by class and the list of assets. Clicking an asset shows its position and market chart.
  • NewYou choose the extra tabs: dividends, transactions, open options and performance. None of them can be exported, and your allocation target (buy/hold/sell) never shows.
  • New"Hide amounts" comes on by default: the portfolio, dividends and transactions show only percentages, with no amounts, quantities or average prices. The numbers never even reach the visitor's browser. Options always show amounts.
  • New"Generate new link" disables the old one right away, and switching back to private takes the link down. The page works on phones and doesn't show up in search engines.

Simulator on the home page, search shortcut and options on phones

The simulator can now be used on the home page, no account needed. The search shortcut shows correctly on Windows and Mac. Option cards on phones no longer cut information off, and portfolio percentages now follow your language.

  • NewThe home page now has the app's simulator (net worth, passive income, per asset and financial independence), open to anyone without an account, plus a section with the latest updates.
  • ImprovedThe search button showed "⌘K" to everyone. It now shows "Ctrl K" on Windows and Linux and "⌘K" on Mac, and explains the shortcut on hover.
  • FixedOn phones, option cards cut off the right-hand column: the moneyness bar and the result were half hidden. They now fit completely, and the result no longer breaks between the currency sign and the number.
  • FixedIn the light theme, the options moneyness bar was nearly washed out and the ATM mark disappeared. The colors are now easier to see; the dark theme is unchanged.
  • FixedIn Portuguese, portfolio percentages used a dot instead of a comma — in the return, the allocation and each asset's weight. They now follow the language, in the public portfolio too.
  • FixedOn phones, the years on the simulator chart ran into each other on the axis. They are now spaced out.

Comparing with an asset outside the rank

An asset added to a comparison through the ticker search now shows as "outside the rank", not with a made-up position.

  • FixedIn the Analysis comparison, an asset found by ticker showed as "Rank #99". It isn't in the rank, and the screen now says so.

The right amounts in the English app — and in the dividend statement

In English, your portfolio and reports show everything in dollars at today's rate, while B3 instruments stay in reais. And the dividend statement no longer adds dollars to reais.

  • FixedThe dividend statement added payouts from foreign assets as if they were in reais: US$ 30 counted as R$ 30 in the total. Each payment is now converted at today's rate before adding up, and shows in its own currency. If you hold foreign assets, the statement total may change.
  • ImprovedIn English, Reports show your net worth, dividends and contributions for the year in dollars, like the Portfolio. PDF and spreadsheet exports stay in reais.
  • FixedIn English, the monthly contribution showed the amount in reais with a dollar sign, and the rate at the top of the portfolio read "$1.00 = $5.20". The contribution is now converted and the rate reads "$1.00 = R$ 5.20". This applies to the mobile app too.
  • FixedIn English, the options history and report showed amounts in reais with a dollar sign. Every option contract now shows in R$ in any language — that's how it trades on B3.
  • ImprovedThe Analysis and Income screens now use the numbers, dates and labels of your chosen language. In English they used to show "R$ 6,55", "3,15%" and month names in Portuguese.

Options and portfolio work better on your phone

Closing and adding options fits on the screen, spreadsheet imports show up right away and the asset panel lets you see your entries.

  • FixedOn narrow screens, the button to confirm closing an option ran off the screen and the date was cut off. The buttons now drop below the text and the date takes the full row. The same goes for the add-option form.
  • FixedOn some phones, the options Import/Export menu opened off the screen and pushed the page sideways. It now opens on whichever side has room.
  • FixedAfter importing options from a spreadsheet, the list stayed empty for a few seconds. The options now show up right away, and prices follow shortly after.
  • FixedWhen importing your portfolio from a spreadsheet, the notice said "options imported". It now says "transactions imported".
  • FixedOn shorter screens, the asset panel barely let you see your entries. The middle of the panel now scrolls, and the entries header stays pinned at the top.
  • FixedAsset search sometimes found nothing for a few minutes after a brief outage of the quote provider. It now tries again on your next search.
  • FixedOn the goals projection chart, the axis values and the end-point label were cut off. They now show in full.

Options in the mobile tab bar

On mobile, Options now sits in the bottom bar, and the cancellation rule is spelled out in full.

  • ImprovedThe mobile bottom bar now takes you to Options in one tap, between Dividends and Reports. Income Tax is still under More.
  • ImprovedYour plan now states the cancellation rule as it is: no fee, and Pro stays active until the end of the paid period without renewing. The refund still applies within the first 7 days.

Financial independence and magic number goals

Two new goal types: how much of your cost of living the portfolio already pays, and a real estate fund's magic number.

  • NewFinancial independence: enter your cost of living and see how much of it the portfolio already covers, adding dividends and the options result. With your monthly contribution, the goal shows how long until you get there.
  • NewMagic number: pick a fund and the goal works out how many shares you need for one month's payout to buy a new share on its own. The target follows the fund's price and latest payout.
  • FixedWhen a goal can't be saved, the reason shows up in the form. It used to close as if it had been saved.
  • FixedIn the mobile app, the asset goal showed the number of shares with a currency sign. It now shows just the quantity.

Goals now match the numbers on the other screens

Passive income, monthly premium and options result goals now use the same math as Dividends and Options.

  • NewNew "Portfolio Income" goal: how much your portfolio pays you per month, adding net dividends and the options result (average of the last 12 months). Profit from selling shares is left out: that is realized capital, not income.
  • FixedThe monthly premium goal now counts only options sold in the current month. For B3-synced accounts it showed the total of every month and looked achieved when it wasn't.
  • FixedAn option imported from a trade note now counts from the trading date, not from the day the note was uploaded.
  • FixedIn closed options, the number of days each option was open is again counted from opening to closing.
  • FixedThe passive income goal is now the monthly average of net dividends over the last 12 months, the same math as the Dividends screen. It used to take gross values and could miss a payment when a company paid two with the same record date.
  • FixedThe options result goal (monthly P&L) now shows the result of options closed this month, as in Options and Performance. An exercised option doesn't count as profit: its premium goes into the cost of the shares.

More complete BTG and Necton trade notes

Option exercises now reach your portfolio, imported options come with their strike, and every fee on the note goes into your average price.

  • FixedOption exercises on the note ("EXERC OPC") now come in as a purchase or sale of the shares at the strike. These lines used to be skipped, so shares received through an exercise never showed up in your portfolio. If the option is in Monexa, it is marked as exercised.
  • FixedOptions imported from a note now come with their strike. They used to come in with a zero strike, which made the break-even and the exercise probability wrong.
  • FixedThe note's settlement fee is now part of the cost. It was being left out, so the average price came out slightly low. Re-import older notes to fix them: nothing is duplicated.

Fractions and values below R$ 1 in transactions

Quantities and values starting with zero, like 0.005 BTC or a R$ 0.50 fee, are now saved exactly as you type them.

  • FixedTyping 0.005 BTC dropped the leading zero and saved the transaction as 5 BTC. The same happened to fees and prices below R$ 1, both when adding a transaction and when editing it in the asset panel. Check crypto transactions you entered by hand before this date.
  • FixedIn the asset panel, the transaction date showed one day early. It now shows the right day.
