What's new

What changed in Monexa Hub: new features, improvements and fixes.

Infrastructure funds get their own class, and BDRs leave Stocks

Infrastructure funds (FI-Infra), such as JURO11, KDIF11 and CPTI11, showed up as REITs or ETFs. They now have their own group in your portfolio and follow their own tax rule. BDRs that were listed as stocks, mainly ETF BDRs (ending in 39), now show up as BDRs.

  • NewNew FI-Infra class in your portfolio, in the allocation targets and in the reports.
  • FixedSelling FI-Infra units no longer goes into your monthly tax: for individuals, the gain has a zero rate. Before, it was taxed as an ETF (15%) or a REIT (20%).
  • FixedBDRs classified as stocks no longer get the R$ 20,000 monthly exemption, which only applies to stocks.

A real estate fund that left the exchange is still a REIT

When a real estate fund is merged into another and stops trading, the app lost track of it being a REIT and started treating it as a stock. Now it uses the name B3 itself reports in your statement and keeps the fund as a REIT.

  • FixedTax on these units follows the REIT rule again: 20% on the gain, without the R$ 20,000 exemption that only applies to stocks. It is recalculated on the next sync.

Real estate funds no longer double in a merger

When a fund is merged into another or distributes units of another fund, B3 reports on the same day the position you held in the original fund. The app added that number as if it were new units, and the position showed up doubled. Now it recognises the notice and keeps the right quantity.

  • FixedThe quantity and the average price go back to what your broker shows. Real unit credits are still added as usual.

Fractions auctioned by B3 now leave your portfolio

When a corporate event leaves a fraction of a share or fund unit (stock bonus, reverse split, distribution in units), B3 removes that fraction from custody and sells it at auction. Your portfolio did not follow that exit, and the fraction stayed in the position forever. Now it leaves.

  • FixedPositions such as 10,653.46 shares go back to the whole number your broker shows, and the average price of what remains does not change.
  • FixedA fund that only arrived as a fraction and was already auctioned no longer shows up in your portfolio with a blank price, "awaiting review".
  • ImprovedThe amount received at the auction is still left out: it is a few cents, and you can add it by hand if you want.

Manually added CDBs, LCIs and LCAs now grow in your portfolio

Until now, a CDB, LCI or LCA you added by hand always showed the amount invested, with no yield. Now it grows at the rate you entered, the same way your broker calculates it.

  • FixedThe current value uses each investment's rate and index: a percentage of CDI or Selic, fixed rate, or IPCA/IGP-M plus a rate. The bond stops growing at maturity.
  • FixedThe performance chart now shows this yield month by month, including past months, instead of adding it all at once.
  • ImprovedAn investment saved without a rate still shows the amount invested. To see the yield, edit the investment and enter the rate.

B3 sync no longer repeats older trades

Sometimes B3 sends, along with the new days, trades from weeks earlier. Each sync stored those trades again, next to the ones already saved.

  • FixedA trade B3 sends again is recognized as the same one and is not saved twice. In most cases the portfolio already dropped the copy by checking B3's settlement; when there was no settlement to check, a purchase could show up twice.

More security for your account and your files

We strengthened the protection of sign-in, of the files you import and of access to the site. For normal use nothing changes; below is what you may notice.

  • ImprovedAfter 10 wrong password attempts in 15 minutes, further attempts for that e-mail from the same connection are paused for a few minutes. This stops anyone from guessing your password.
  • ImprovedImport files (brokerage notes, statements, spreadsheets) are limited to 8 MB per upload.
  • ImprovedIn the app, signing in with Google requires a verified Google e-mail.
  • FixedThe password of a PDF brokerage note is handled more carefully when the file is read, without going through paths where it could be exposed.

Goals: each one says what it tracks, and income now counts dividends still to be paid

We reviewed how goals are calculated. Some figures were wrong and the screen did not explain what each type tracks. If you have an income, net worth or per-asset goal, the number may change.

  • ImprovedEach goal shows its type and a sentence on how it is measured. Monthly goals (income, contribution, premium) carry "/mo" next to the value, and the form explains the type as you pick it.
  • FixedGoal income counts each dividend by its record date, received or still to be paid, and divides by the months your portfolio has existed (up to 12; for a single-type goal, since the first purchase of that type, and without the current month until it has a record date). Before, someone who had just bought stayed at R$ 0 with the payout already announced, and someone who started a few months ago saw only a fraction of the real income.
  • FixedThe net worth goal tracks today's portfolio value. It used to read the monthly snapshot and changed just by opening the dashboard.
  • FixedPer-asset and magic-number goals use the quantity from the Portfolio, already adjusted for splits, reverse splits and bonus shares.
  • FixedThe dashboard showed a different timeline from the Goals screen ("1505 months" for a 13-year goal). Both now use the same calculation, and long timelines show in years.
  • FixedIn the projection chart of an income goal, the whole contribution counted as monthly income. It now goes into capital, and income grows with that capital's yield.
  • FixedThe performance, entries and dividends CSVs now contain only the table, with the header on the first line. They used to start with title and date lines, so spreadsheets and scripts read "Generated" as the header. The date is still in the file name.
  • FixedThe Portfolio summary CSV now holds only the positions table, one asset per row, ready to filter and pivot. It used to stack the summary, positions and both allocations, with different columns in each block. The summary and allocations remain in the PDF. An asset with no known sector leaves the Sector column empty instead of repeating the type ("Stocks"). Files also no longer start with a duplicated invisible character.
  • NewWhen your feedback is resolved, the notification may include a note from the team, and it shows in full.
  • FixedWhen you create, edit or delete a goal, the list no longer disappears or jumps to the top while it reloads: the new goal shows up right in place.
  • FixedOn the dashboard, the portfolio allocation chart no longer shifts down when you hover over it.

Charts that are easier to read, and dollar ETFs compared with US interest rates

Every chart now follows the same pattern for values and dates, and long-period charts show the whole time span without cramming the months. In the ETF panel, the comparison with the CDI was one month ahead and dollar ETFs had nothing to be compared with; both are fixed, so some numbers on that screen change.

  • NewETFs traded in dollars (TFLO, VOO, IVV and others) are now compared with US interest rates, the 3-month US Treasury bill: what the same dollars would earn sitting idle. The screen used to say there was no comparable index.
  • FixedIn the ETF panel, the CDI line was drawn one month ahead of the fund's. A Selic ETF, which tracks the CDI closely, looked below it all year. Both lines now start from the same point.
  • FixedETFs that pay income every month, such as TFLO, showed a change of almost zero at the top of the panel, because the share price drops at each payment. The top now uses the return with income included, the same as the 12-month card, and the list of income paid now shows up.
  • ImprovedIn charts, the currency symbol shows once at the top of the column and values come short (350K, 1.4M) without wrapping onto two lines. Dates follow a single format (Nov 25), and percentages use round marks (0%, 20%, 40%).
  • ImprovedLong-period charts mark the years instead of cramming every month. In the performance report, the months when the portfolio was empty take up their place in time again, in an "Empty portfolio" band: the chart used to push one period against the other and the years came out uneven. The percentages do not change.
  • ImprovedIn the goal projection, the chart runs up to the date the goal is reached (it used to stop at 6 years) and shows the period and the value on the axes. Hovering shows the month instead of a bare number.
  • ImprovedThe Treasury detail and the ETF comparison gained date and value axes and the information for each point on hover.
  • FixedA monthly result goal with a negative value showed a full bar. The bar now stays empty and the percentage shows in red.
  • FixedIn the options report, the percentage axis cut off the first character: 105% showed as "05%" and -35% as "35%".
  • ImprovedThe side menu now fits entirely in shorter windows: the items adjust to the height and, when they still do not fit, scrolling uses a thin bar. The logo is now aligned with the top bar.
  • FixedOn the plans screen, people arriving through a partner saw two unexplained percentages on the Pro card (the annual plan discount and the partner's). The partner's is now labelled "with the partner".

B3 sync: ticker changes from mergers and shares received without a purchase

Three fixes in how the B3 statement is read. They solve the asset that showed up negative with "missing purchases" after a ticker change, the net worth that looked larger than it was because of the old ticker, and the share received as a gift or by transfer that never made it into the portfolio. If your portfolio had one of these cases, the numbers change on the next sync.

  • FixedA ticker change that B3 reports as a "merger" is now recognised (for example, BRIT3 becoming BRST3). Purchases made under the old ticker move to the new one at the same cost: the old ticker stops counting toward net worth and the new one no longer shows as negative.
  • FixedA share that reached your account without an exchange purchase, such as one a company handed out to its customers, now enters the portfolio when you sell more than you bought. It shows as "Opening balance · B3" with no cost, and the app asks you for the cost so the tax on the sale can be worked out.
  • FixedA real estate fund that changed ticker no longer has its units counted twice when the whole statement is read again. Anyone affected returns to the right quantity automatically.
